Project Type: Staircase and components

Yapton
Project brief
A long-standing client was working on a development of 65 houses and enlisted the help of Multi-Turn to produce the softwood stairs for the whole site.
When working with property developers, we understand the importance of helping our clients strike a balance between cost and profit to maximise margins, as well as aesthetics and quality to uphold their outstanding reputations.
To complement the style and interior of the homes on-site, this client requested a simple softwood build for their stairs that would make an impact to attract prospective buyers whilst still keeping within budget.
Our solution
Our projects team visited site to measure up the plots so that we could ensure the stairs would fit first time and conform to building regulations.
After agreeing design specifications with the client, our workshop team set to work on producing the softwood stairs and ash handrails which add a more premium finish.
The stairs were pre-primed, which includes a knotting coat and primer layer on top to ensure the timber is sealed and protected from moisture. The client also added stair protection to help reduce damage from other trades on-site while work continued elsewhere in the homes.
All the stairs were dry assembled prior to delivery, meaning fitters could install them with ease before carpet was laid to finish.
