Project brief
Working on a handful of luxury new builds in Buckinghamshire, Chartridge Developments enlisted the help of Multi-Turn as their chosen staircase supplier for this project.
Chartridge Developments pride themselves on quality builds and attention to detail, looking at exceptional ways to make a home stand out – one being the feature staircase.
With a grand entrance hall to fill, Multi-Turn needed to create an elegant but grand statement staircase that would blend seamlessly with the high-end, modern design of the rest of the home.
Our solution
Our projects team visited site to carry out a site survey, collecting measurements to ensure the stairs we produced would fit first time whilst conforming with building regulations.
The stairs were produced using a brilliant redwood pine – a higher grade of softwood – which was finished with knotting coats and our favourite professional wood primer from Redwood Innovations to help seal the timber and give a smooth base for top coats to be applied straight to.
This impressive design features a duo of bullnose and curtail feature steps, 26mm treads to make it suitable for a carpet runner, chunky newel posts and contrasting stained oak handrails and newel caps. The results speak for themselves!
