Sustainable staircases
Making efforts to reduce our carbon footprint
At Multi-Turn, we recognise our responsibility to the environment. Our processes for managing waste, energy and responsible purchasing have been refined to ensure every staircase is made as sustainably as possible. All our electricity is Zero Carbon certificated, with on-site solar panels contributing renewable energy directly to our workshop.
We also ensure no timber goes to waste. Offcuts and leftovers that cannot be used in production are recycled – in summer they are shredded for animal bedding, and in winter they are used to heat our workshop.
Bamboo stairs
The eco-friendly staircase option that is also budget friendly. Bamboo has a much shorter growth cycle than timber. It can be harvested in just 1 to 5 years whilst hardwoods like oak requires up to 40 years. This not only eases pressure on timber supply but also positions bamboo staircases as a more environmentally conscious and sustainable choice
Sustainability built in
We are FSC® certified which means that we complete the chain of custody ensuring the timbers we use are from FSC sustainable forests. Check out this video which explains more detail on our FSC Stairs.

We are FORS certified to drive up standards of operations with the FORS quality benchmark giving you peace of mind and help demonstrate exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency & environmental protection.
